Partnered with passionate and experienced trainers and coaches

Having spent 30 years, mainly as a sales and management executive in the IT industry, I decided to use my his skills experience and knowledge to help support people develop positive mental health and life skills. The whole idea behind 1Step-Beyond is to help people develop life skills to manage the uncertain world that we now live in.
I have setup companies, had great jobs and worked for and with some amazing people and organisations, but like many people I have struggled to manage a complex life, whilst also trying to cope with mental health, life and motivational issues with my family, friends and colleagues,
The skills I have developed as a successful sales and management executive and non-exec director, building businesses at the cutting edge of IT, I am now applying to developing a new positive approach and strategy to mental health and life coaching.
I am lucky to have a wonderful partner and 6 children (2 step-children). I keep myself busy with a rich assortment of hobbies from sailing, cycling, motorbiking to small construction projects. I have a huge passion for positive mental health and have created a movement called Fight4Minds and petition to improve our mental health system (http://chng.it/fMdjPmXzGm).
I have trained as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor (MHFA for England), I am working as a life coach (Coaching Academy student). and I am in the process of becoming a professional BACP counsellor.
I have many professional qualifications including a mini MBA, Miller Heiman management training
I volunteer with the following organisations: Red Cross, NHS, Rethink, MInd, Samaritans, Age Concern and Brigade / Beyond Food

Physical health is one thing, but mental health, despite being something which can dramatically impact and affect someone’s life, is an often overlooked part of a person’s wellbeing.
Yes, we can look at someone that appears to be in good physical condition, who eats well, maintains a level of fitness, and dodges illness or medical complications. In doing so we are missing a huge piece of the puzzle?
The problem is that it’s often not easy to see.
If someone breaks a leg, it is easy to see they need help and support, but what if it's their mind that's broken. ...
Who see’s that? Who is there to help? I’d love it to be you .
